Ring binders are the traditional way of storing loose leaf paper. Our custom-made ring binders are ideal for company handbooks, training manuals and conference planners. Our customers range from hospitals and airlines to marketing agencies and schools.
Sandpiper Plastics can manufacture binders to hold from one to 500 pages. You choose the number of rings, the finish and material and we'll do the rest. Our in-house screen printers can personalise your ring binder with logo/text. Ask about our matching polyprop tabbed dividers printed and cut to meet your requirements.
What capacity ring binder do I need?
The thickness and amount of paper you plan to file within the binder will determine the capacity. The most common capacities are as follows:: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Simply tell us what you would like to hold in your binder and we will suggest an appropriate capacity.
What type of Ring Mechanism?
There are two most common types of ring mechanisms. A ROUND RING is usually riveted on the spine of the binder and enables the pages to be turned easily and quickly. (Beware the rivets hitting print on the spine).A D-RING is mounted on the back cover and presents the pages as a book block yet allows easy turning (a straight edge is suggested if you plan to use tabbed dividers).
How many rings?
2 RINGS: 2 rings are the most economic and also the most suitable for use when the simple additions to the binder are envisaged (most offices have a two hole punch). Not suitable for heavy use since the pages are more likely to tear out. Ring centres at 80mm.
4 RINGS: The most popular is the 4 ring mechanism which keeps all the pages straight. Considerably reduces the risk of tearing the pages in heavy use. Ring centres at 80 - 80 - 80mm.
